Cloisonné
An ancient art
developed over 6,000 years ago in China. Cloisonné pastes
fill color by color in each recessed areas of metal. After
each fill, the piece is blazed harden and hand polished
until perfect.
Epola
This is a similar process to cloisonné. Only epola uses a
brilliant colored resin in recessed areas. The piece is
baked after each color fill and polished after the process
is completed. This process reveals small details beautifully
and gives a glassy smooth finish to each piece. It is also a
fabulous alternative to cloisonné.
Soft Enamel
Soft enamel also include matte black, matte gold, and matte
silver . Adding epoxy resin will protect the enamel. The
dome on the item also increases its value.
Photo Etching
Designs from negatives are etched onto brass sheets enabling
us to reproduce your custom design and the very fine details
that may be involved. All recessed areas is hand-filled with
a radiant soft enamel and baked to until harden. The silkscreen process may be added to enhance some of the small
details of your design. Other product possibilities include
holiday ornaments and bookmarkers and other specialty items.
Silk Screen
Silkscreen is the perfect alternative when the enamel filled
processes are not compatible with the design. Each ink color
is brushed softly through a silk mesh directly onto the
metal background. This process is also possible on top of
cloisonné, epola, and photo-etched designs. An epoxy dome is
an available application which adds to the protection and
value of the item.
Offset Printing
A printing technique whereby ink is spread on a metal
plate with etched images. Next the images are transferred
to an intermediary surface such as a rubber blanket.
Finally, the images are applied to paper by pressing the
paper against the intermediary surface.
